Karen Hummel is a holistic wellness and sustainable weight loss coach dedicated to helping others escape from marketing hype by sharing clear answers about health and nutrition.

She developed an interest in Preventative Health and Fitness at an early age due to personal and family weight problems. After years of perseverance and success in finally reaching her own fitness goals, Karen was seriously injured in an automobile accident and told prior to one of many surgeries that she would almost certainly be a paraplegic.

The avid health and fitness enthusiast refused to believe it and did indeed walk again. Her surgeons attributed her success to the muscles she had developed throughout her years of exercise.

Even after multiple surgeries and experiencing chronic pain, Karen has managed to live a life of health, well-being, and joy, and she helps her clients do the same.

Her formal education includes a Masters Degree in Health Services Management and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology. Karen is a Certified Coach and Personal Trainer with more than twenty-five years of experience.

Spending more than 15 years in the corporate world, she has extensive experience directing wellness programs for large international organizations like Johnson & Johnson and AT&T. In addition, Karen has led multidisciplinary teams from across the country to create system-wide nutrition programs for clients. The programs delivered improvements in employee health screenings and assessments year over year, coupled by the reduction in health claims for the employers. Some of the programs Karen has designed have won the coveted WELCOA Model Worksite Wellness Award.
